EXPLORE GORDON'S

About Gordon's

Alexander Gordon started as he meant to go on — by sourcing the finest possible ingredients. This attention to detail and high juniper content has earned Gordon’s the recognition as the ‘ginniest’ of gins.

A Proud History

Alexander Gordon’s passion for business began to take shape in 1769. He built a distillery in Southwark, London which was well known for its excellent, clean water supply. Then he mastered the art of distilling a gin of high standards that could be trusted and enjoyed by all.

Today, Gordon’s is the world’s number one best-selling Gin. Awarded four Royal Warrants and an impressive selection of international gin prizes.

Original for over 250 years, Gordon’s created the classic gin character to make the perfect G&T with a clean, juniper dominant taste. From early in our history we have been exporting around the world and today have earned the status of the World’s Favourite Gin.

But while we are very proud of our history, at the end of the day we are a gin for enjoyment.

WHAT MAKES GORDON'S GORDON'S

Alexander Gordon believed that the success of his gin lay in the perfect combination of pure distilled grain spirit and rich botanicals. Happily, the exacting standards which he set are maintained to this day.

A TALE OF TWO BOTTLES

A TALE OF TWO BOTTLES

Not long after we started bottling in green glass in the early 20th Century, we had our first request for a big order of Gordon’s to be sent to Australia. This was one of our first large export shipments and we marked the occasion with the design of a new export label. The new design was fitted to the green bottle but looked overly bold for a gin with serious credentials. As a result, we decided to pair it with clear glass and our export bottle was born.

THE BOAR

THE BOAR

Take a look at the lid of any bottle of Gordon's gin and you'll find a boar's head. Legend has it that a member of the Gordon clan saved the King of Scotland from a wild boar when out hunting. Ever since, the ancestors of Alexander Gordon sported a boar's head on their coat of arms.

GORDON'S, SHALL WE?

GORDON'S,
SHALL WE?

We’ve all had those moments. Fantastic moments filled with friends, laughter and G&T’s. Where you feel totally at ease. Relaxed and refreshed, around people you love.

Those moments help us lose the scowl and reclaim our smile. Sitting there, G&T in hand, life somehow feels a little bit brighter.
